About Us

From a modest start with one baby llama, to nearly 30 different kinds of animals, The Camel Farm has continued to grow and diversify over the years.

Camels - and so much more!

Shortly after moving to Yuma, Arizona in 1987, we acquired the nickname "Camel Farm". We had other animals, but camels were what really caught people's attention. The name stuck, and even though we now have close to 30 different kinds of animals, camels remain the main attraction.

Over the years we have diversified. Today, in addition to raising animals for sale, we also open the farm to interested visitors who enjoy interacting with the animals and learning about their unique characteristics. You can take a leisurely stroll through the farm and admire them from a distance or you can get up close and personal with many of them.

Another facet of our business is off-site. We provide petting zoos for events such as large as community celebrations or as small as private birthday parties. We bring animals to corporate dinners and fund raising events. Many of our animals take part in live Nativity depictions each year.

At the Camel Farm we strive to help people appreciate and celebrate the wonderful animals that share our world. Whether it's a visit to the farm or at an off-site event, our goal is for visitors to be able to interact with animals in a way that deepens their understanding of the importance of these beautiful creatures, and increases their desire to see that they are protected and preserved for future generations to enjoy.
